How to play
- Tap an empty square to place your mark. You are X; the computer or player 2 is O.
- Three of your marks in a row, across, down or diagonally, wins.
- If all nine squares fill up with no line, the game is a draw. Every new game switches who goes first.
The two computer levels
The easy bot takes a win when it sees one and blocks you about half the time. The hard bot plays every position perfectly, so a draw against it is the best result there is.

No. The hard computer checks every possible game from the current position, so it never loses. If you also play perfectly, every game ends in a draw.
