Party Turn Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Party Turn ("we", "us") about your use of Party Turn. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy (https://partyturn.store/privacy/) explains how we handle data.

1. Who can use the app

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country if it is higher, to play online. Younger players may use the app only with a parent or guardian, in the modes the app allows for them. Some content may be limited by age; you must not give a false age to unlock it.

2. The app and your player account

The app creates an anonymous player account on your device. You do not need an email to play. There is no sign-in yet, so if you delete the app or change phones, your progress may be lost; purchases can be restored from the App Store or Google Play. You can delete your data at any time in Settings, Account, or at https://partyturn.store/delete-account/.

3. Playing with others

  • Online rooms are opened by a host and joined with a 4-letter code or an invite link. Anyone with the code can ask to join while the room is open; share it only with people you want to play with.
  • Truth or dare and similar games are for fun. You can skip any card or dare. Never do anything that could hurt you or someone else, damage property, or break the law.

4. Names, custom words and conduct

Online names are picked from a fixed list. You are responsible for the custom words and any other text you add, and for the names you type for players on one phone ("your content"). Do not add content that:

  • is hateful, harassing, threatening or bullying, or targets someone for who they are;
  • is sexually explicit, or sexual content involving anyone who is or appears to be under 18;
  • shares another person's private information;
  • impersonates someone, or suggests you are us or our staff;
  • promotes violence, self-harm, illegal drugs or other illegal activity;
  • infringes someone else's rights, including trademarks.

You can report or block a player you played online. We review reports and may remove content, or suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules. You give us a license to store and show your content to the players in your rooms, only to run the app.

You must not cheat, modify the app, interfere with other players' games, use bots or scripts against our servers, or try to get around locks, ads or purchases.

5. Purchases

  • Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. It may start with a free trial; if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and is charged to your Apple or Google account. It renews automatically at the price shown in the app until you cancel. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings (Settings, Purchases, Manage subscription opens them). Deleting the app or your data does not cancel it.
  • Pro for the room: when a player with active Pro hosts or joins a room, everyone in that room can use the Pro content for that room. Guests do not get Pro outside that room.
  • Remove ads is a one-time purchase that stops the ads in the app on the account where it was bought.
  • Content packs come with Pro in this version and are not sold separately. They unlock additional cards for a game.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Refunds are handled by them; we cannot issue refunds for store purchases. Restore purchases is in Settings, Purchases and on the paywall.
  • Prices, trial length and what each plan includes are shown in the app before you buy. We may change prices for future periods as the stores allow, with the notice they require.

6. Ads

The free version shows ads. We do not show ads in the middle of a round. Ad choices are in Settings, Privacy.

7. Our content

The games, cards, art, names and software belong to us or our licensors and are licensed to you, not sold, for personal, non-commercial use. Open source and font licenses are listed in Settings, Help and legal. Game names in the app are generic names for well-known games; the app is not affiliated with any board game publisher.

8. Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove games, packs and features, and we may stop the online service with reasonable notice where possible. Games against the computer and on one phone keep working offline as long as your version of the app runs. If a change takes away a feature that a one-time purchase paid for, we keep that feature working for the people who bought it, or, where that is not possible, help you ask Apple or Google for a refund.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any amount above what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms takes away rights that the consumer law of your country gives you.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 4 (license to your content, for as long as needed to remove it), 7, 9 and 11 survive.

11. Law and disputes

Before any claim, please email us at support@partyturn.store so we can try to solve the problem. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer laws of the country or state where you live apply, and you may bring a claim in its courts.

12. Apple-specific terms

If you got the app from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple; we, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, handle claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, and claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property. You may use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as the App Store usage rules allow, and you must follow the terms of any third party, such as your mobile carrier, when you use it. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
