Effective date: November 5, 2026
Party Turn is a collection of party games and two player games published by Party Turn ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. The app is coming to iPhone and Android; this policy applies from its first release.
1. The short version
- You can play without creating an account or giving us your name or email.
- Games against the computer and games on one phone work offline and send nothing about your moves to us.
- When you play online by code, we store the room, the moves and the result so both phones can play the same game.
- We show ads from Google AdMob. Where the law or your device asks for consent, ads are personalized only if you agree. You can change this any time in Settings.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
- You can delete your data in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account and data) or at https://partyturn.store/delete-account/.
2. Data we collect
a. A random player ID. When you first open the app, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous account with a random ID. It is not your name, email or phone number. We use it to save your progress on our servers, run online rooms and connect your purchases to your Pro access.
b. Game data. For online rooms: the 4-letter room code, the game, the seats, each move, the order of moves and the result. Points, levels and head-to-head scores between players who played together. Custom words you add (Pro), when they are used in a room.
c. Your online name. When you play online, other players in your room see a name made of two words from a fixed list, such as "Swift Otter". You cannot type a free-text name online, so it never contains your real name. Players you finished an online match with see this name and your results against them. There are no public rankings with strangers. Names you type for players in games on one phone stay on that phone.
d. Notification token. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a token so we can tell you when it is your turn, when someone joins your room, when a room is about to close, and once before a free trial ends. Turning notifications off in your device settings stops this.
e. Crash reports and diagnostics. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report: the error, the app state at the crash, the device model and the operating system version. We use it only to fix bugs.
f. Usage analytics. Google Analytics for Firebase records how the app is used: screens opened, games started and finished, sessions, in-app purchase events and an approximate location derived from a shortened IP address (country or region). It uses an app instance ID, not your name. Google Signals is off and Analytics is not linked with Google advertising products. You can turn analytics off in Settings, Privacy.
g. App integrity checks. Firebase App Check asks Apple (App Attest, DeviceCheck) or Google (Play Integrity) to confirm that requests come from a real copy of the app. This protects online rooms from abuse. The tokens do not identify you.
h. Server requests. When the app calls our servers (Cloud Functions), the server sees your IP address. We use it briefly to block abuse, for example too many wrong room codes in a short time, and do not store it with your game data.
i. Advertising data. Google AdMob, which shows ads in the app, collects: your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone only if you allow tracking; Android advertising ID), IP address and approximate location, ad interactions (which ads you saw or tapped), and diagnostics (app launch time, performance, crashes). Google uses this to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. See section 5.
j. Purchase data. RevenueCat receives your purchase history from Apple or Google (product, date, price, renewal and trial state) together with your random player ID, so we can unlock Pro and Remove ads, restore them on a new device and grant Pro for a room. We do not receive your payment card details.
k. Reports and blocks. If you report or block a player, we store who reported whom, the match, the game and the reason you picked, to review the report and keep blocked players apart.
l. Support messages. If you email us at support@partyturn.store, we receive your email address and what you write. The app may prefill the app version and your player ID to help us find your data.
m. Age. If the store gives us an age range (Apple Declared Age Range, Google Play Age Signals) or you enter a year of birth, we keep the result on your device only and use it to turn features on or off. We do not send it to our servers.
We do not collect: your contacts, precise location, photos, microphone or camera recordings, browsing history, or health data. Avatars are preset pictures or initials; you cannot upload a photo. There is no free-text chat in the app.
3. Why we use data
| Purpose | Data |
|---|---|
| Run the games, online rooms and your progress | Player ID, game data, online name, notification token, server requests |
| Unlock and restore purchases, grant Pro for a room | Player ID, purchase data |
| Fix crashes and keep the app working | Crash reports, diagnostics |
| Understand which games and screens work, plan new games | Usage analytics |
| Protect the service from cheating and abuse | App integrity checks, server requests, reports and blocks |
| Show ads and measure them, which keeps the classic games free | Advertising data |
| Answer you and handle privacy requests | Support messages |
We do not sell your personal information for money. When personalized ads are on, Google's use of advertising data may count as "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under some US state laws; you can opt out as described in section 6.
4. Who processes data for us
| Service | Provider | What it does | Their privacy information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, App Check, Google Analytics for Firebase | Google LLC | Player ID, game data, online rooms, notifications, crash reports, integrity checks, analytics | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob with the User Messaging Platform | Google LLC | Ads and the consent message | https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites |
| RevenueCat | RevenueCat, Inc. | Purchase status and entitlements | https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy |
| App Store, Google Play | Apple Inc., Google LLC | Payments, refunds, age signals | Their own privacy policies |
The app shows ads from Google only; no other ad network receives data from it. If we add one, we list it here before it receives any data.
Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate.
5. Ads, tracking and consent
- iPhone and iPad: we ask for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, only once and never in exchange for a reward. If you say no, ads still show but are not based on your activity in other apps. You can change it in iOS Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking.
- European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland: Google's consent message asks for your choices before ads are personalized.
- US states with privacy laws: Settings, Privacy, "Your privacy choices" opens Google's message where you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for targeted ads.
- Minors: if the store tells us, or you tell us, that you are under 18, we show only non-personalized ads with a family-friendly ad content limit and turn analytics off.
- The first ad never appears before you finish your first games, and ads never appear in the middle of a round.
- A one-time Remove ads purchase stops every ad in the app.
6. Your choices and rights
- Analytics and crash reports: switch off in Settings, Privacy.
- Ads personalization: Settings, Privacy, Privacy choices; and the tracking setting of your device.
- Notifications: your device settings, or Settings, Notifications in the app.
- Delete your data: Settings, Account, Delete account and data, or request it at https://partyturn.store/delete-account/ without the app. See section 8.
- Access or correct your data: email support@partyturn.store with your player ID (Settings, Account). We answer within the time the law of your state or country requires, and within 45 days at most.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete or port your data, to opt out of targeted advertising, sale or profiling, and to appeal our answer. To appeal, reply to our answer with the word "appeal" and we review the request again. Someone you authorize may make a request for you; we may ask them for your signed permission and confirm the request with you. We do not treat you differently for using these rights.
7. Children and age
Party Turn is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a store signal or an age check shows a player is under 13, the app shows only non-personalized ads marked as child-directed, does not ask for tracking and turns analytics off. If you believe a child under 13 gave us personal information, email support@partyturn.store and we will delete it.
8. How long we keep data
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Open online rooms | Until the game starts or the room closes, at most 30 minutes after it opens by default |
| Finished online matches | 90 days, for disputes and head-to-head scores; longer only while a report about the match is open (see reports) |
| Player ID, online name, points, levels, head-to-head scores | Until you delete your data, or 24 months after your last use |
| Notification token | Until it expires, you turn notifications off, or you delete your data |
| Notification history on our server | 7 days |
| Reports and blocks | Reports 90 days, for safety and fraud prevention; blocks until you unblock the player or delete your data |
| Crash reports | 90 days (Crashlytics) |
| Analytics events | 2 months for event-level data (the retention setting in Google Analytics); reports built from them contain no player ID |
| Purchase records | Purchase events and trial reminder records on our server 30 days; your Pro and Remove ads status until you delete your data; RevenueCat, Apple and Google keep their own records as long as tax, accounting and fraud rules need |
| Support emails | 24 months after the last message, so we can show how we handled privacy requests |
When you delete your data, we delete your player ID, progress, online name, online room history and notification token from our servers, ask RevenueCat to delete your customer record, and wipe the data on your device. Finished matches keep the other player's side and show you as "Deleted player". Purchase records that the law requires us to keep, and records held by Apple or Google, are kept. Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions first. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
9. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Our database rules let each player write only their own seat, move and data. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at support@partyturn.store if you find a problem.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they apply.
