Party game

How to play most likely to

Most likely to is a party voting game for 3 or more players. One player reads a question, like who is most likely to adopt ten cats, everyone counts to three and points at the player they think fits it best, and the player with the most votes takes the card. Whoever collects the most cards at the end has the best stories to tell.

How to play

You need: a list of questions, or one phone.

  1. Sit in a circle where everyone can see everyone.
  2. The reader reads a question out loud.
  3. Count to three. Everyone points at one player at the same moment; you cannot point at yourself.
  4. The player with the most fingers on them takes the card. On a tie, the tied players each take one.
  5. The next player reads. After 15 or 20 questions, count the cards.

Rules

  • Point at the same moment, so nobody follows the crowd.
  • No pointing at yourself.
  • The chosen player can explain, or just laugh.
  • Skip any question that would hurt someone. The game is funny, never mean.

Variants

Secret vote
Everyone writes a name on a slip and the reader counts them. Fewer arguments, more suspense.
Prediction
Before pointing, the reader guesses who will get the most votes. A right guess scores a point.
Future edition
Only questions about the future: who will live abroad, who will write a book. Good for graduations and birthdays.

Tips to play better

  • Play with people who know each other; with strangers, start with this or that instead.
  • Mix flattering questions with silly ones, so everyone takes a card or two they like.
  • Ask the winner of each card for one sentence of defense.
  • In a mixed group, keep to questions about habits, talents and dreams.
